Laser Genesis is a non-invasive procedure that uses a laser to gently heat the skin, to kick start collagen and elastin production to help lift and tighten skin. It also helps to even out skin tone issues such as redness and pigmentation.

How Laser Genesis Works
Laser Genesis near-infrared (NIR) irradiation rejuvenates your skin. The laser heats the dermis (middle layer of skin) directly under the epidermis (outer layer of skin). The aesthetician moves the handheld device back and forth across the area to be treated (face, neck, chest, or hands) during a 30-minute session.
This heating of the dermis stimulates collagen production, which plumps the skin and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The heat from the laser also constricts blood vessels, which helps reduce redness and rosacea.
The number of sessions you will need for optimal results will depend on your skin type and the issues we are treating. In general, most clients have 3-6 treatments spaced about a month apart. Any clients opt for a maintenance treatment once a month after that to maintain results.

Laser Genesis FAQs
These are the most frequently asked questions we get about Laser Genesis. If you have other questions, you can call us or ask us at your skin consultation.
Is Laser Genesis safe?
Yes, when performed by a trained aesthetician. You will wear goggles to protect your eyes from the laser. Pregnant women should not have any laser treatments, as there is no research to indicate if the treatment is safe for the unborn child.
Does Laser Genesis hurt?
No – it’s a painless treatment. Some clients describe it as soothing, almost like sitting out in the sun. Some say they feel a warm tingling.
Do I need to do anything to prepare for Laser Genesis?
Yes. For best results:
- Stop tanning and avoid exposure to the sun 2 weeks before treatment to reduce the risk of hyperpigmentation.
- Stop using retinoid products or alpha and beta hydroxy acid products one week before treatment.
- Don’t wear makeup on the day of your appointment.
Are there any side effects to treatment?
Side effects are minimal. If anything, you might have some slight redness after treatment, which will fade in a few hours.
Does Laser Genesis really work?
Yes. Our clients love the results. In addition, a published study shows that 96-100% of study participants were happy with the improvement of dilated pores, skin texture, and wrinkles.
You can prolong the effects by using sunscreen, stopping smoking, and using the right skincare regimen.
