There are 4 distinct types of rosacea, and you may experience symptoms from more than one type.
Erythematotelangiectatic Rosacea
This is the most common type, with persistent redness of the face. You may have small broken blood vessels near your nose and on your cheeks. IPL/Photofacial treatment can help reduce redness and the appearance of tiny blood vessels. LED light therapy can also help.
Papulopustular Rosacea
This is the rosacea acne, often accompanied by redness. By treating it early, you can prevent it from spreading. Our aestheticians will recommend Face Reality skincare products that are specially formulated to clear up the whiteheads and red bumps that come with acne rosacea. We have had a lot of success helping our clients get acne rosacea under control, oftentimes with only 2 or 3 treatments within 4 to 6 weeks.
Phymatous Rosacea
This type causes the skin to thicken, especially around the nose, causing a bulbous nose. It’s more common in men than women. Consult with your aesthetician for rosacea treatments that can best help with this type.
Ocular Rosacea
Some people don’t even know their bloodshot eyes or the cyst on an eyelid is a form of rosacea. Eyedrops can help relieve dry eyes, itching, and redness.
